Description

The post holder is required to undertake a wide range of tasks in support of clinical professionals, including activities directly related to patient care.

He /she will provide casting/technical services to adult and paediatric Out-patient clinics, Accident and Emergency department, wards and operating theatres.

He/she will provide specialised splints for the paediatric inpatients and outpatient department, Hand management unit, medical patients, diabetic patients and burns and plastics patients.

He/she provides support in the development and implementation of effective programmes of care for efficient operation of all sessions.

He/she is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care without direct supervision and will be required to supervise staff and assist in staff training and development.

The post includes deputising for the senior orthopaedic practitioner.
