Are you a creative and nurturing practitioner?

Looking for a part-time, term time position within a highly regarded Tonbridge school?


If this describes you, then we have an excellent opportunity that has recently become available working as an Afterschool Care Coordinator.


Using your natural creativity and excellent organisational skills, you will coordinate and run the day-to-day organisation of the after school provision for the children, including the administrative management of planning and resourcing.


A qualification in EYFS, or similar childcare qualifications (L3 +) alongside 5 years' experience of working with children is highly desirable.


Responsibilities:


  • To create a weekly plan of activities
  • To work with all staff to ensure that a caring and stimulating environment is provided for children
  • To provide safe, creative, appropriate play and learning opportunities that will excite the children, preparing and organising the activities programme
  • To provide full care for the children including a healthy, light tea which is provided by the catering team
  • To be aware of and work in accordance with the Schools' Child Protection policies and procedures in order to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to raise any concerns relating to such procedure which may be noted during the course of duty
  • Setting up the play space each day including tables and activities
  • To ensure records are properly maintained e.g., attendance, activities planning and the accident and incident book.
  • To administer First Aid as appropriate. (Updated training will be given if required)
  • To work with the lead TA on a daily basis to ensure adequate cover for the afterschool care provision.
  • To assist with the handover/collection of children to/from other areas of the school, where applicable and ensure their safe handover to parents/carers at the end of the day.
  • To liaise with parents/carers, informing them about the club and its activities
  • To attend staff meetings as appropriate as well as inset days.
  • To promote inclusivity and diversity.

Salary:
£7,242 to £8,138


Hours:
Term time only - 2.45pm - 6pm

MUST have a DBS
