Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an AP Accounts Assistant part time (15 hours/week) located in Warrington, UK.

Purpose of the job:
To ensure all supplier invoices are received and processed in accordance with agreed procedures, and that payments are processed without adverse effect on the supply of goods and services

What a typical day looks like:

Have full responsibility for specific accounts from processing invoices to ensuring payments are issued without having an adverse effect on the supply of goods and services
Validate VAT postings to ensure zero errors each month
Process daily invoices in accordance with standard procedures
Request & reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis to ensure payment of account is issued on a timely basis. Provide update to supplier
Follow up reconciling items to ensure completeness of statement reconciliation
Liaise with internal / external contacts to ensure all queries resolved prior to supplier payment date
Supplier payments to be issued on scheduled payment runs in accordance with agreed deadlines
Ensure refunds from suppliers are processed to ledger on a timely basis
Reconcile GRNI to ensure accuracy of accrual
Escalate issues to management as necessary to ensure prompt resolution of outstanding issues
Freight invoices to be processed in accordance with agreed procedures, identification of inbound / outbound charges
Work alongside Freight Team to ensure invoices due for payment are approved follow Freight Audit approval
Complete Inter Company Accounts (ICA) upload and reconciliation of ICA accounts
Arrange, schedule & participate in calls / meetings with internal / external customers
Complete all filing of AP documents on a daily basis

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

Have a thorough understanding of multiple VAT rules & regulations/procedures
Must be capable of dealing with a high volume workload and the capacity to investigate and resolve all identified issues
Experience with VAT rules and regulations, or working in an accounts department is an advantage
Have a thorough understanding of multiple VAT rules & regulations / procedures, including both Polish & Italian VAT is an advantage
Taking full ownership of their specific accounts as well as being an all round team member, and having the flexibility to assist in all areas of the accounts department as and when required
Excellent communication skills
Confidence & assertiveness
Effective in using Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel
Eligible to work in the UK
