Residential Children Worker role at Edinburgh
Randstad is working to support a respite service supporting children and their families with complex learning and physical disabilities.
This is a rewarding service to work in, taking young people out of their regular routine to relax and enjoy themselves in a safe and nurturing environment.
Part-time and full-time hours are available by booking your own shifts through our app and catching up with your own dedicated consultant.

- Providing 24-hour care to vulnerable young people
- Ensure children's health, hygiene, and safety needs are met.
- Manage challenging behavior with appropriate strategies.
- Administering medication
- Maintaining a professional manner and working to National Care Standards
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of children, reporting abuse or neglect.
- Assisting with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and supervision.
- Supporting educational needs and activities.
- Teaching essential life skills for independent living.
- Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people
- Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
- Experience in assisting with educational needs and activities for Children
- Have strong communication skills
- Register under the PVG scheme
- Full driving license (preferred)
- Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
