Some of these include:
Responsible for overseeing the management of the Advanced Echocardiography service and to provide leadership and direction.

To ensure that high quality Cardiac Physiology services are delivered in line with national BSE standards and ensure that guidelines and protocols are in place to ensure evidence-based practice is performed and maintained.

Responsible for strategic development of the Advanced Echocardiography service in line with Trust and regionally agreed priorities, working closely with the Head of Cardiac and Respiratory Physiology Services regarding waiting times, capacity issues, and service developments.


To ensure professional regulatory and accreditation requirements are maintained including Responsible for staff development in Advanced Echocardiography and CHD Echocardiography.

Responsible for staff development; student and trainee teaching and assessments including provision of relevant training to junior doctors.

To motivate and inspire senior staff and junior staff to develop their skills and qualifications, and to maintain BSE accreditation.

To work clinically for a minimum of 50% of the time, including CHD Echocardiography and to maintain recognised BSE accreditation and maintain CPD.
