_Pupil Attendance and Wellbeing Support - Carlton Road Academy, Boston_
Grade G3 6-9 £18, £19,183.98 actual salary
Permanent - Term Time - 37 hours a week, 40 weeks per year
To start as soon as possible

Sometimes some of our children and their families need extra support to ensure they are attending school reliably and consistently.

This role will combine carrying out the administrative functions of ensuring all our children are in school; but if not, how can we help them to be so? Following safeguarding protocol while also understanding what challenges these pupils may be facing and working with families to overcome these.

A typical day is likely to start with taking calls and responding to messages linked to children's attendance in school, administration linked to this: following up on any absence of children where there are safeguarding concerns or where absence has continued over several days or where no contact has been made.

You could also be ensuring any late arrivals are monitored and safely in class.

Reviewing attendance data and generating any related correspondence is a regular requirement; home visits (with a colleague) can be required as can liaison with other professionals linked to safeguarding.

You may set up and support the Attendance Champion hold parent meetings. Later in the day you could expect to be working with pupils as described above.

Some previous administrative involvement or understanding of such a role is essential as is pupil /child support experience.

We are open minded about where these skills may originate from as experience in settings other than a school could be equally valuable.
