Description

The University is seeking to recruit a Specialist ASC and Transition Mentor to work as part of a team providing highly specialist, specifically tailored, specialist ASC mentoring and transition support to disabled students studying at The University of Manchester.

You will provide and support the student to develop effective, evidence based, creative and self-management strategies to support attainment and progression.


You should be educated to degree level or equivalent and have an appropriate accredited qualification (e.g., National Autistic Society accreditation).


You will have extensive experience and up-to-date knowledge of autistic spectrum conditions and an awareness of the potential impact on academic study and how to support HE students in relation to this and to develop study strategies.

You should also understand the diversity of the student population and have the capacity to adapt your practice to meet this.
