Salary and Benefits:
£28,154 (including LLA; prorated; depends on experience) and interest free season ticket loan

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cook to join our staff team at All Souls Church.

Food is a key part of our life together:
it is essential to helping people feel welcome and building relationships within our community.

As a part-time Cook, you will cook four meals a week and either cook or coordinate catering for various ad hoc special occasions.

You will ensure that meals are prepared on time, are of high quality, and meet the dietary requirements of our guests.

You will also be responsible for keeping our three industrial kitchens clean, tidy, and well-stocked.


As a Cook, you are a vital part of All Souls Church staff, supporting the church's ministry and engaging with the staff, church officers, and wider church family to realise our vision.

You will entail active involvement in church life, including staff fellowship, prayer groups, occasional Prayer Gathering attendance, and representing the charity externally when necessary.


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work with lots of different volunteers who will be moving in and out of the kitchen

Physical Demands:


This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, lift and carry heavy objects, and work in a kitchen environment.
