Job description:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the HR operations, payroll and systems function in DHSC.
Reporting to the Deputy Director for HR Operational Services, you will lead a large operational team delivering joined-up services and ensuring that our customers are at the heart of our approach.
In addition, you will be responsible for key change projects designed to transform the way we delivery key HR services across the department and government, supporting strategic ambitions.
As a member of the HR leadership team, you will work within a collaborative team of leaders in the HR function.
Building and using networks is a key aspect of this role, making connections and joining up across DHSC Corporate Services teams, Arms Lengths Bodies, other Government Departments and central Civil Service functions.
Person specification:
- Leading the delivery of monthly cyclical activities including onboarding, offboarding, payroll assurance/ compliance and other employee life cycle activities.
- Developing and measuring performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and gathering customer feedback, to continually improve our services.
- Responsible for HR systems, ensuring our systems are stable to support delivery of efficient services and provide platforms to gather and maintain robust employee data.
- Supporting strategic transformation for HR services in the department and also wider across government.
- Managing outsourced service contracts to ensure required service levels are maintained.
- Working collaboratively across the DHSC HR function and Corporate Services and also wider across government.
- Responsible for leading and developing an inclusive multisite HR operational service team.
- Broarder leadership across the DHSC HR function and corporate services.
