Lusona Consultancy has a new opportunity for a Project Accountant to join our well-stablished service sector client in Glasgow City Centre.

Reporting to the Senior Project Accountant, you will collaborate with the wider finance team and project managers,to support key projects via financial planning, analysis and governance of projects.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with project managers to financially guide and challenge the development of ongoing projects.
Leading project's forecast activity and producing financial reports and analysis.
Providing corresponding financial information to financial and nonfinancial stakeholders, necessary for carrying out financial control, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
Partnering with the senior project accountant to oversee budgeting, as well as reports related to project revenue/capital cashflow risk.
Assessing options appraisals and business plans for specific areas of investment.
Attending project boards as required and preparing business cases and analysis.
Contributing to the monthly management accounts, financial KPIs, alongside relevant analysis
Being the point of contact for internal audit and procurement matters
Promoting financial awareness and accountability throughout the organisation

Applicants will ideally be Qualified Accountants (ICAS/ACCA/CIMA) with project accounting experience gained within industry. However, those who are part qualified or suitably qualified by experience will also be considered. You will have strong budgeting,forecasting and financial planning skills.

Most importantly you will have strong stakeholder engagement skills to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders, such as project managers.

It is also important to have an analytical mindsetand excellent attention to detail with problem solving capability.
