The Crisis Care pathway for children & young people across Greater Manchester (GM) has been totally transformed. Four multi-agency, multi-disciplinary Rapid Response teams who serve the whole of GM are at the heart of the transformation.

The Rapid Response Teams and the overall pathway emphasise a culture of accessible, high quality, holistic, child centred, recovery focused care, enabling you to effectively address the needs of children and families when they are at their most vulnerable.

As such these posts will be enormously rewarding.

The new crisis care pathway enjoys a high degree of national & local recognition and interest.

Therefore these are high profile posts offering you potential opportunities to conduct service based research and to present at conferences and other events.

You will receive a structured induction and comprehensive training programme, along with a robust programme of continuous professional development.

As a member of the Rapid Response Team you will be at the heart of a well funded, well organised, hugely valued work-stream.

You will deliver robust crisis assessment, effective risk management and intensive support to children, young people and families who are in or immediately post crisis.

The main objective of the service is to prevent unnecessary and often unhelpful admissions to A&E, Paediatric inpatient settings and acute Inpatient admissions where clinically appropriate.

You will offer up to 72 hours of intensive follow up and develop longer term care plans to identify and address the holistic needs of young people and families across Greater Manchester.

You will also link with specialist in-patient services, referring and co-managing admissions within a recovery model.

All new starters to Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust who are appointed to a post which requires a Disclosure Barring Certificate check (DBS) will be recharged for the full cost of the check.

We are proud to provide high quality mental health and learning disability services, both inpatient and in the community across five boroughs of Greater Manchester - Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Tameside and Glossop.

Our vision is for a happier and more hopeful life for everyone in our communities and our staff work hard to deliver the very best care for the people who use our services.

We're really proud of our #PennineCarePeople and do everything we can to make sure we're a great place to work.
