Professional Services - Hybrid(Home and Office National Office Space)

Can you motivate and engage your team to achieve targets, maintain standards and provide an exceptional delivery of the Professional Services programmes including; HR, L&D,Project Management and Leadership and Management?


Babington, a national provider of training and education, are looking for a Head of Delivery who can motive and lead a team of Performance Managers across our apprenticeship and commercial delivery in the professional services sector (HR, Coaching, ProjectManagement and Leadership and Management).

Summary of role


Responsible for the delivery, and growth of our Professional Services programmes, withresponsibility for maintaining and improving quality and compliance standards through managing a diverse remote team.

This role will ensure there is clear direction andfocus to meet agreed objectives and targets with a team that is appropriately supported.


Ownership of our core delivery targets across these apprenticeship programmes, including learner retention, timely achievement, and overall qualification achievement rates and the quality of teaching and learning.

  • Provide inspirational management and leadership to colleagues, empowering them to meet/exceed targets, provide operational excellence in their duties and reach their potential.
  • Performance management of the operation with a clear understanding of the core performance metrics, mitigating actions to take to ensure sustainable achievement of targets and plans for growth.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with Awarding Organisations, funders, and other agencies, representing Babington at regional and national events, conferences and meetings as required.
  • Identify and address performance and operational concerns within the team, raising areas for improvement in line with department objectives.
  • Actively lead the team, with a focus onteam performance, individual performance and wellbeing, ensuring continual feedback and support to ensure performance targets and compliance requirements are met.
  • Promote and embed Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent and Health and Safety to all learning sessions.
  • Lead the delivery of the agreed business plan within Babington's Financial services programme delivery ensuring that the revenue and EBITDA expectations are met.
  • Manage the compliance of all delivery that meets contract, regulatory and budgetary standards, and targets.
  • Support the Operations Director in establishing continuous and quality improvements that are being monitored and reported on effectively in supporting efficiencies within the team.

Brief person specification

Essential Qualifications
Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent

Level 5 CMI Diploma in Management & Leadership or equivalent experience


Desirable Qualifications
Level 3 Award in Education & Training (or equivalent) or willingness to acquire one

Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (IQA)
Level 5 CIPD in Human Resources or equivalent experience
PRINCE2 or APM Qualification or equivalent experience


Skills and experience

  • Experience of operational delivery and performance management
  • Experience of successfully managing strategic projects
  • Experience in the delivery of educational programmes desirable
  • Experience of Ofsted inspections
  • Experience of leading within a continuously evolving environment
  • Ability to manage and priorities workload, to meet conflicting deadlines
  • Hold a clean driving license with access to a vehicle or ability to travel nationally
