Description

This is an exciting new post created to provide the highest levels of support to those receiving palliative and oncology care.

This specialist chaplaincy role has been developed in response to the increasing palliative care needs and the opening of the brand new Oncology facility (The Dyson Centre) later this year.

The role will be part of the Spiritual Care Team, which aims to provide Religious and Spiritual Care and support to patients, their family, carers and Trust staff - engaging with people of all faiths and none, without prejudice, fully embracing the principles of the Equality Act 2010.

The Spiritual Care Team is actively involved in all clinical and non-clinical areas within the RUH, and works closely with the Emergency Department, Elderly Care, Palliative Care, Critical Care, Oncology, Women and Children's Services.

This is a fixed term role with the potential to become a permanent post in the future.
