Description

You will work as the Divisional lead for clinical risk management and be required to manage/develop the systems already in place.

You will be responsible for providing highly specialist clinical governance advice to clinical and SBU staff.

You will communicate with senior members of clinical and non-clinical staff and members of the public on highly complex and sensitive information and ability to communicate in highly charged situations.

You will be responsible for proposing service or policy changes for your division, SBUs and supporting services.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating policy development that will affect staff Trust wide as well as other professionals. You will use advanced skills in investigating and analysing incidents and providing reports to SBUs and supporting services.

You will be responsible for providing specialist training in clinical governance across your division for all levels of staff (and in other divisions on an ad-hoc basis).

You will be responsible for providing specialist advice, which contributes to the education in patient safety initiatives.


You will be responsible for managing incidents for the SBUs that you are responsible for and communicate sensitive information to staff and members of the public.

Deputise for the Senior Governance Facilitator as appropriate This position is part of the team specifically supporting Trusts quality improvement and governance agenda.
