The Faculty of Law is looking to appoint a Pathways, Access and Admissions Administrator.

This is an exciting post that involves reporting to and working with the Admissions and Outreach Officer to deliver the Faculty's admissions, outreach, access and widening participation activities.

This role is fixed term for 1 year until the 30 August 2024.


The postholder will support all aspects of the Faculty's undergraduate admissions process, which includes assisting with preparing selection committees, dealing with general queries and collating and inputting data.


The postholder should have a good understanding of educational outreach programmes, and experience of organising programmes or events or similar; previous experience in a similar role, especially in student admissions ; effective communication skills to deal with an extensive range of people, including school children, teachers, parents, academics, and representatives of external organisations; and sensitive to the particular needs of school children from a diverse range of backgrounds, with experience of dealing with the pastoral, social and welfare needs of young people; strong organisational skills, and the ability to maintain a practical and resourceful approach even under pressure.

Experience of working within Further Education or Higher Education and sympathy for the academic objectives of the Law Faculty, the wider University, and Higher Education more generally is desirable.

The post is fixed term until 31 July 2024 and full time. The postholder will be based in the Faculty of Law, St Cross Building, St Cross Road, Oxford, OX1 3UL.

Interviews will be held on 28 September 2023.
