Are you looking for a new challenge?

We're currently looking for a Supplier Support Technologist to join the Romix team.

Functional Title:
Supplier Support Technologist

Location:
Leigh

Salary:
Competitive rates of pay

Working hours: 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Friday, can be flexible.

Duration:
Permanent

Key duties:

Collate required information for supplier approval
Review information for supplier approval, ensuring it meets BRC requirements
Compare and contrast raw material specifications for alternative materials
Review raw materials shelf life and request shelf life extensions in a timely manner, as and when required
Create a maintain annual review documentation of existing suppliers
Collate and maintain COA database for incoming goods
Responsible for the upkeep of technical specifications
Complete desk audits of suppliers to meet the business needs

Other duties (as required):_

To make recommendations when appropriate to improve current working practices.
Provide help and cover for the Technical Manager
Follow all technical procedures, be responsible for own Health and Safety, assist the company with producing safe, legal, and quality products with 100% attainment to plan.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Working knowledge of computers: Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and company's ERP system.
Knowledge of BRC requirements and supplier approval
Able to develop knowledge and personal expertise and proficiency in computerised system usage.
Ability to maintain open working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and to work well as a team member.
Courtesy and tactfulness. Interfacing skills.
Work efficiently under pressure.
Organisation/analytical skills.
Independent work skills.
To be successful in this role you'll have an excellent eye for detail, strong communication skills.
The ability to work on own initiative, a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to everything you do.
