Tezlom are looking for experienced/specialist support workers for a well-established supported living accommodation in Bradford. This accommodation is made up of 4 rooms.

They have a fantastic reputation and are a dedicated to ensuring our young people are safe and healthy and able to make a positive contribution and realise their full potential through encouraging and prompting independence.

The young people we support are aged 9-15 years and have varying degrees or autism and EBD.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Work close with the team leader and service manager to ensure the children's home provides high quality care and support.
Take part in the care and support planning for the children living in the home. Ensuring their individual needs are met.
Provide basic care and support for children, including personal care, meal prep and support with household tasks.
Supporting the children to develop their social and emotional wellbeing and develop independent living skills.
Working with others to ensure that the home is maintained to a high standard.
Monitor and evaluate progress and development of children living in the home, recording observations and providing feedback to the team leader or service manager.
Engage in creative activities and play with the children to promote their physical, social and intellectual development.
Implement routines, boundaries, and consequences appropriately and consistently in line with the home policies and procedures.

Experience and Qualifications:

Level 3 qualification in health, childcare or social care, or equivalent.
Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
Knowledge of the challenges faced by children and young people in care, and the ability to develop positive relationships with them.
Ability to work as part of a team and take part in discussions regarding the development of the children.
Good communication, the ability to work with families and other professionals.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, Understanding the legislation guidance and good practice that support the highquality care in the children's home.
Being able to work flexibly and to work shifts within a rota system.
