Pay:
£12.50 per hr

Tezlom are looking for experienced/specialist support workers for a well-established supported living accommodation in Bradford. This accommodation is made up of 4 rooms.

They have a fantastic reputation and are a dedicated to ensuring our young people are safe and healthy and able to make a positive contribution and realise their full potential through encouraging and prompting independence.

The young people we support are aged 9-15 years and have varying degrees or autism and EBD.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Work close with the team leader and service manager to ensure the children's home provides high quality care and support.
  • Take part in the care and support planning for the children living in the home. Ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Provide basic care and support for children, including personal care, meal prep and support with household tasks.
  • Supporting the children to develop their social and emotional wellbeing and develop independent living skills.
  • Working with others to ensure that the home is maintained to a high standard.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress and development of children living in the home, recording observations and providing feedback to the team leader or service manager.
  • Engage in creative activities and play with the children to promote their physical, social and intellectual development.
  • Implement routines, boundaries, and consequences appropriately and consistently in line with the home policies and procedures.

Experience and Qualifications:


  • Level 3 qualification in health, childcare or social care, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Knowledge of the challenges faced by children and young people in care, and the ability to develop positive relationships with them.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take part in discussions regarding the development of the children.
  • Good communication, the ability to work with families and other professionals.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, Understanding the legislation guidance and good practice that support the highquality care in the children's home.
  • Being able to work flexibly and to work shifts within a rota system.
