Highway Technician
3-month contract
£18 an hour, umbrella
Waltham Forest

As a Highway Technician you will:

  • To undertake inspections of the public highway and highway infrastructure, ordering repairs and maintenance as appropriate, to ensure that risks are removed or reduced for all users.
  • To provide support and specialist knowledge to the service area
  • Inspection and maintenance of the borough's roads, pavements, and paths.
  • Dealing with enquiries from councillors, colleagues, residents, and businesses
  • Using a database to enter inspections and order repairs/maintenance.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • NRSWA registration
  • Numeracy and literacy qualification e.g., GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience and knowledge of highway maintenance methods, practices, and construction techniques.
  • Able to walk and carry equipment for highway works.
