An industry leading and globally recognised PC and Mobile gaming provider is looking for several Junior level to Principal level Lighting Artists to help develop a brand-new 3rd person game in partnership with a reputable studio.
Collaborating across several teams, you will be pivotal in creating first class experiences for players through creating outstanding lighting that will unite the game world in a synchronized and immersive feel,
Working as part of the design department as a Lighting Artist, you will:
- Set up and attenuation of the game's lighting using Unreal Engine 5, displaying good technical as well as aesthetic skills.
- Collaborate with co developers and the Art Director on creating a unique stylized world
- Ensure readable and cohesive light to show the game world at its best
- Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with other members of the art team using Miro, Slack, Jira and video calls
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that any bugs or issues that require addressing are communicated effectively
To be considered for the Lighting Artist role, you must have:
- A portfolio of work: Art Station, Behance, Personal website etc
- A good understanding of composition, shape, color and light with an efficient and thoughtful approach to illuminating the game world
- Passionate about creating games and delivering the highest quality Art
- A selfmotivated, cando attitude, quick learner and problem solver
- Strong interpersonal skills: the abilities to communicate positively and effectively. Proactively seeks and acts on feedback from peers.
