Description
This CMM Operator role is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a growing manufacturing service provider. This is a 37-hour working week involving both day and night shifts with a competitive salary.


Reporting to the Senior Cell Manager, you will be co-ordinating company CMM inspection activities to ensure the required work throughout is achieved in order to meet customer deadlines.


Responsibilities:


  • Reading, Interpreting and understanding 2D drawings from a range of customers and industries.
  • Determining the programme requirements based on the drawing and engineering requirements, with specific focus on understanding Geometrics, Dimensions and Tolerances.
  • Assuring accurate component measurement via correct CMM operation, programming, calibration and cleanliness.
  • Assisting in identifying and utilising the most effective and efficient method of checking components.

About you:


  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in a machine shop or a similar engineering environment.
  • Experience with operation and programming of coordinate measuring machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, quality plans and specifications.
  • Skilled in the use of inspection and test equipment.
