The Education Network are looking for a compassionate, dynamic individual to join the team at an Outstanding secondary school in Preston as a Head of Year.

** £27,344 - £30,151 per annum
The Head of Year Role:
As a Head of Year, you will be responsible for managing pupil wellbeing across the school. This includes monitoring behaviour and attendance, and implementing intervention strategies where patterns emerge.
As a Head of Year, you may also be required to do outreach to students' homes, where frequent absence is becoming an issue.
You will work with pupils on a 1:1 basis to resolve incidents and provide pastoral support, supporting social, emotional, and mental health needs.
This Head of Year role requires you to consistently liaise with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure pupils are kept safe.
The Head of Year:
To be eligible for this Head of Year role, you must have been a Head of Year in a school previously, or have held a similar position such as Pastoral Lead.
You must have a strong, resilient personality that allows you to effectively manage challenging behaviour, provide compassionate wellbeing support and build a rapport with the pupils you support.
It is important that you have strong organisation skills, as you will be managing a large caseload of pupils, as well as a good understanding of SEMH needs, SEN and safeguarding procedures.
