Management Accountant, Cambridge (hybrid)


Reed Finance are delighted to be recruiting a permanent Management Accountant to join a leading scientific manufacturing business in Cambridge.


You will support the Financial Controller with a variety of accounting tasks for the UK and overseas, with your main responsibilities revolving around producing the monthly management accounts.

This is a great opportunity to work within a fast-growing and modern business and industry. It will ideally suit qualified or part-qualified accountants (ACCA/CIMA) and offers full study support.


Financial Accountant responsibilities will include:

  • Month end journals to create the monthly management accounts
  • Monthly VAT returns
  • Monthly and quarterly analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, including prepayments and accruals, fixed assets and intercompany reconciliations
  • KPI reporting
  • Monthly financial analysis
  • Weekly cashflow forecasts
  • Assist with audit.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified or partqualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) or qualified by experience
  • Experience in working with senior level stakeholders across different functions
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Fastpaced industry experience
  • Previous use of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using ERPs and reporting tools
