Are you an experienced Specialist Pharmacy Technician seeking a new challenge? Are you looking to join a friendly and dynamic team within the NHS?

Job Purpose:
Band 6 Specialist Pharmacy Technician

Pay Rate:
£25.00 LTD p/h + £250 Welcome Bonus


Location:
Goodmayes Hospital, Ilford


Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30


Contract:37.5 hours per week | Part-time work Available


Key Responsibilities:


  • To provide a specialist patient focused technical pharmacy service.
  • To participate in the ongoing development of the technician's role in Medicines Optimisation at team level for both inpatient wards and community teams.
  • To undertake duties of a technical nature, including the dispensing, checking and supply of medication to individual patients.
  • To be an accredited accuracy checking technician in a technicianled dispensary
  • To monitor and supervise the work of pharmacy assistants at team level.

Essential

  • Registered with the GPhC
  • Accreditation in Medicines Management (AIMM)/ Medicines Optimisation or equivalent
  • Previous experience within a Pharmacy Technician role or setting
