Overview
- We are looking for a diligent and confident Credit Control Team Lead to join us at Chambers and Partners.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Have a designated set of customer accounts to chase & deliver cash inflows (most valued customers along with older/hardertochase debt)
- Reporting to finance leadership team on a frequent basis. Will need to develop a set of their own financial metrics to report on both the ledger and team performance.
This will involve:
- Setting individual and team KPI's;
- Producing meaningful analysis on the receivable ledgers. This includes insightful and timely analysis on cash collections, debtor days, problem areas and aged debt reporting;
- Analysing key trends
- Full control of the debtor ledger, including the overall maintenance
- Analyse current processes and recommend improvements and introduction of new processes.
- Developing, implementing and continually refining approaches and tactics to chasing debt to maximise effectiveness.
- Working with the sales team where necessary to actively resolve customer issues and build relationships.
- Drive operational intensity & increasing the frequency of chasing key outstanding customers.
- Managing & Coaching 2 x team members actively managing daytoday activities and reporting to FC. Ensuring workloads are managed effectively.
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience within a credit control type role
- Strong interpersonal skills comfortable chasing and talking to customers on the phone.
- Dealt with multiple currencies
- GBP/USD/EUR
- Have some experience in managing/developing team members.
- Selfstarter and able to show initiative in refining tactics and processes to deliver better outcomes.
- Strong excel skills. Power BI experience would be a plus.

- Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and customers
- Confident in ability to be able to teach and mentor staff members.
