Overview

  • We are looking for a diligent and confident Credit Control Team Lead to join us at Chambers and Partners.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Have a designated set of customer accounts to chase & deliver cash inflows (most valued customers along with older/hardertochase debt)
  • Reporting to finance leadership team on a frequent basis. Will need to develop a set of their own financial metrics to report on both the ledger and team performance.

This will involve:

  • Setting individual and team KPI's;
  • Producing meaningful analysis on the receivable ledgers. This includes insightful and timely analysis on cash collections, debtor days, problem areas and aged debt reporting;
  • Analysing key trends
  • Full control of the debtor ledger, including the overall maintenance
  • Analyse current processes and recommend improvements and introduction of new processes.
  • Developing, implementing and continually refining approaches and tactics to chasing debt to maximise effectiveness.
  • Working with the sales team where necessary to actively resolve customer issues and build relationships.
  • Drive operational intensity & increasing the frequency of chasing key outstanding customers.
  • Managing & Coaching 2 x team members actively managing daytoday activities and reporting to FC. Ensuring workloads are managed effectively.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience within a credit control type role
  • Strong interpersonal skills comfortable chasing and talking to customers on the phone.
  • Dealt with multiple currencies
  • GBP/USD/EUR
  • Have some experience in managing/developing team members.
  • Selfstarter and able to show initiative in refining tactics and processes to deliver better outcomes.
  • Strong excel skills. Power BI experience would be a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills with both colleagues and customers
  • Confident in ability to be able to teach and mentor staff members.
