We are looking for a Driver who will act as representative for our company collecting parts and materials from and delivering to various sites using the company's vehicles and to carry out various logistic duties as instructed.


Key Accountabilities and Main Duties

  • Responsible for the delivery and collection of goods/stock orders to customers and carry out regular airside stock checks and deliveries whilst ensuring all relevant paperwork is included with goods/deliveries
  • Prepare deliveries for customers and loading and unloading of vehicles and trailers. Also unloading of pallets and all other deliveries received into site as and when required
  • Support the department in daytoday administration
  • Participation in stock checks as and when required
  • To ensure that all fleet vehicles are kept clean and tidy and stocked with correct items such as first aid kits and complete a daily maintenance check on all Company fleet vehicles and to notify the Manager of any defects as soon as possible
  • Responsible for daily general site upkeep activities ie

waste management:
emptying bins, sweeping up and ensure the managing of waste skips and ensuring the warehouse and workshop areas are kept clean and tidy at all times

  • Responsibility for customer care and customer service at all times
  • Ensure that all works are carried out and comply to the standards laid out in the Company Health & Safety Procedures and take responsibility for own Health and Safety whilst working
  • Any other duties that the company may reasonably ask you to perform which are within your expertise and skill sets

Driver Key Skills/Experience

  • Possess good verbal communication skills (written and verbal) and have good planning and organisational skills
  • To be customer/client focussed to give great service
  • To work effectively as part of a team and to establish and maintain good relations with fellow employees and customers
  • Physically fit, able to move items with moving aids within H&S guidelines
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
  • As you may be required to work airside at Heathrow Airport, we cannot accept anyone with a criminal record or colour blindness due to airside driver training medical requirement

Driver Person Specification

  • Aged 25 or over (for insurance purposes) and a fully qualified competent driver with a full clean UK driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years. Appropriate documentation must be available for inspection and ability to drive a range of vehicle sizes including cars, vans, Luton, flatbed
  • The right to work in the UK with no unspent criminal convictions
  • Must be numerate, articulate and have good attention to detail
  • Have a patient manner about you and be efficient and able to work to under pressure and to deadlines
  • Reliable with excellent timekeeping, strong prioritisation, methodical and organisational skills
  • Good levels of fitness to meet the demands of the role (some heaving lifting may be required)
