What will you do day to day?

The primary objectives of this role include:
Deliver energy audits - prepare detailed reports for energy savings options and projects to improve energy/water efficiency
Supporting the development and delivery of Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs)
Developing and implementing zero cost saving or energy opportunities through targeted BMS optimisations or other appropriate methods
Confidently engage and influence site and stakeholders to support the implementation of identified Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs)
Be able to maintain records and evidence to comply with audit /accreditations associated with energy performance contracts.
Develop strong & sustainable client relationships and provide effective communications
Delivery of presentations to key stakeholders, consultants, and contractors both internally and externally to deliver energy management strategy
To direct and oversee energy data analysis and reporting and prioritisation of energy efficiency plans by using analytical tools and techniques
Understand client strategy, objectives, and long-term ambitions and how you can help deliver against these
Provide technical support and advice to other departments and team members, as necessary.
Identify new areas of opportunity for business growth and new energy opportunities including potential capital projects
Work collaboratively with others across all service teams to address and resolve client issues.
Develop and enhance systems and processes for delivering best practice sustainability performance.
Who will you work with?
The Energy Management department consists of a team of around forty energy engineers, managers, and support colleagues.

You will be an integral part of this team whilst more locally being part of your region where you will report into the Regional Energy OperationsManager.

Additionally, you will work with alongside a broad range of people and departments in this role, including Site Engineers, Energy Managers, Facilities Managers, and Measurement and Verification Professionals.


Qualifications:


You will need to be suitably qualified and experienced energy manager, preferably degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline (i.e., Energy/Environmental Management, Building Services Engineering) and/or equivalent qualification by experience, for exampleengineering (e.g., building services, mechanical engineering, energy engineering).

Minimum two years of related experience and/or training required.

Membership of a recognised professional body (such as EMA, CIBSE, the Energy Institute, IMechE) or working towards would be desirable but not essential.

Experience & Skills
Energetic and enthusiastic about the energy and sustainability field.
Strong technical understanding of energy management processes and techniques
Technical understanding of the common building services and systems - HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building automation, and management systems (BMS)
Ability to communicate to all stakeholders via presentations and calls
Analytical approach to using data to enhance business performance.
Good commercial skills and awareness
Experience of project management and facilities management awareness would be advantageous
Good planning and organisational skills - ability to manage own workload within tight deadlines and to a high standard
Ability to be a comfortable initiative-taker
Excellent communication and people skills
Good team interaction skills to be able to actively work with site teams at all levels
Highly proficient in MS Office software
Interest in ongoing learning and development through personal and work-related training
