Are you a Senior Registered Nurse? Here is an opportunity to lead one of the UK's largest Healthcare providers in their Outpatient Department.


Being a highly motivated and organised Senior Nurse or Sister, you'll be experienced and confident in supporting the day to day duties of the Outpatients Department, leading a close knit team and inspiring their development.


Working in a fantastic facility, with access to some of the latest technology and equipment, you'll be setting the highest of standards in patient care.

It's a supportive environment, offering a wide variety of procedures in the fields of Orthopaedic Surgery, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Urology.

This is a Full Time role, 37.5 hours per week. Earlies 8-4, lates 12:30-8:30 and Saturdays 8-2


Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically, managerially, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.
  • Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing Studies.
  • Uptodate knowledge in area of practice.
  • Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.
  • Recruitment and selection skills.
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Experience working in an acute environment
  • Evidence of mentoring and training experience
  • Physical ability to perform the full range of nursing duties
  • Flexibility to work clinically and nonclinically

Desirable criteria:


  • Current ALS provider
  • Evidence of continued professional development in leadership and management
  • Clinical skills in venepuncture, cannulation, ECGs and catheterisation

Duties of this role include:


  • Responsible for day to day management of the Hospital Ward, and its staff.
  • Providing clinical leadership in an effective and efficient management of ward resources, driving clinical excellence in all aspect of care received by patients.
  • Working to maintain and enhance the customer service and satisfaction of service users.
  • Responsible for leading and supporting the nursing team to meet all aspects of the clinical governance agenda.
  • Conduct yourself professionally within the standard and framework provided by the NMC Code of professional Conduct.
