Are you a Senior Registered Nurse? Here is an opportunity to lead one of the UK's largest Healthcare providers in their Outpatient Department.
Being a highly motivated and organised Senior Nurse or Sister, you'll be experienced and confident in supporting the day to day duties of the Outpatients Department, leading a close knit team and inspiring their development.
Working in a fantastic facility, with access to some of the latest technology and equipment, you'll be setting the highest of standards in patient care.
It's a supportive environment, offering a wide variety of procedures in the fields of Orthopaedic Surgery, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Urology.
This is a Full Time role, 37.5 hours per week. Earlies 8-4, lates 12:30-8:30 and Saturdays 8-2Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Evidence of relevant professional development, both clinically, managerially, preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.
- Registered Nurse Level 1 / Diploma / BSc in Nursing Studies.
- Uptodate knowledge in area of practice.
- Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.
- Recruitment and selection skills.
- Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
- Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
- Management and leadership experience
- Experience working in an acute environment
- Evidence of mentoring and training experience
- Physical ability to perform the full range of nursing duties
- Flexibility to work clinically and nonclinically
Desirable criteria:
- Current ALS provider
- Evidence of continued professional development in leadership and management
- Clinical skills in venepuncture, cannulation, ECGs and catheterisation
Duties of this role include:
- Responsible for day to day management of the Hospital Ward, and its staff.
- Providing clinical leadership in an effective and efficient management of ward resources, driving clinical excellence in all aspect of care received by patients.
- Working to maintain and enhance the customer service and satisfaction of service users.
- Responsible for leading and supporting the nursing team to meet all aspects of the clinical governance agenda.
- Conduct yourself professionally within the standard and framework provided by the NMC Code of professional Conduct.
