An
Electrical and Electronics Engineeris required for an Aerospace, Defence and Aviation engineering organisation who specialise within repair and overhaul services for aircraft equipment aviation safety and power products.

They are lookingfor an
Electrical and Electronics Engineerwho will be responsible for developing new capabilities and providing engineering solutions.

The
Electrical and Electronics Engineerrequires a strong electrical & electronic bias and developed understanding of Electromechanical Test Rigs and Control Systems.


Electrical and Electronics Engineer - Responsibilities

  • Technical evaluation of electrical & electronic aircraft components and associated systems.
  • Electrical testing protocols and component assembly supporting New Product Development.
  • Design and/or upgrade of electrical test equipment meeting component test specifications.
  • Write or work with specialist software and electrical components during testing procedures.
  • Lead and/or support New Product Development (NPD) projects and component capability.
  • Offer technical support, in the event of equipment breakdown.
  • Faultfinding support to the maintenance team and shop floor
  • Resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Focus on continual development and implementation of lean management processes.
  • Support operational excellence to further enhance workshop efficiencies.
  • Offer technical backup to other departments when required.
  • Adhere to aviation industry QA and safety critical standards and regulations

Qualifications & Skills Required for the Electrical and Electronics Engineer

  • Experience of building and designing electrical and electronics test rigs.
  • Engineering degree (electrical / electronic highly desirable).
  • Good knowledge of safe working practices.
  • Experience of investigating performance and quality issues.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement methods.
  • Able to complete compliance documentation accurately.
  • Able to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Able to build relationships at all levels and communicate technical information.
  • Good organisation skills with a good eye for detail, able to manage & prioritise workload.
  • Proactive team player, methodical in approach to work, able to streamline processes.
  • Good Knowledge of Inspection and testing electrical and electronic installations.
  • Good IT skills across MS Office/CAD and able to learn other systems quickly.

Security Clearance may be required for this role due to the nature of the industry
