At Mid Gavn Nursery we are looking for a highly motivated person who is committed to working with young children 2 to 5 years with Additional Support Needs.

Support staff are deployed to support children within the nursery as required and directed by management.

You will report to and be managed by the manager on a day-to-day basis with further direction from Room Senior.

You must be able to support children who have a wide range of needs, including personal care.

It is essential that you have effective literacy, ICT, and numeracy skills; previous experience working Pre 5 aged children; be flexible; be committed to the task involved; a general aptitude for working with young people in various curricular areas and the ability to work as part of a team.

It is desirable that you have appropriate qualifications for working with children, are willing to undertake further training, and that you have the ability to deal diplomatically with children if difficult situations arise.

Please note that this post is Part-time and to maintain consistency for children would be 5 mornings 8am to 1pm or 5 afternoons 1pm to 6pm.

Applicants should have a minimum level 2 SVQ or preferred SVQ3 Practitioner level as well as experience of working with children with a variety of special needs.

If successful, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure Scotland check.

Pay dependent on Qualifications and experience.
