Based on the Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK site in Burnaston, Derbyshire


Main Purpose of Job


To provide parts support to our vehicle workshop, receiving daily parts delivery, ensuring that our workshop team members have their required parts, co-ordinating with planning, management and managing stock levels.


Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe unloading of daily delivery of parts, following all safety rules
  • Maintain accurate documentation regarding stocks and the supply of parts
  • To participate in regular stock checks as and when required by the company
  • DIP/DPN Process**:track damaged stock, replenish and adjust stock levels according to the "Damaged in Process" and "Damaged Part Note" processes
  • Use of SPIL/AS400 system for various tasks: accepting delivery, adjusting stock, vehicle enquiries, parts ordering
  • Manage workshop waste disposal, from general to hard plastic, steel to aluminium, chemicals and solvents (COSHH)
  • Order and replenish any consumable stock the business may require
  • Supply workshop bays with correct parts based on a parts pick list supplied by planning
  • Ensure that stores department and associated areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Any other reasonable request: This could include any tasks set by Team Leaders/Management: DIY, Retaping Floor, Site visits: Lutterworth, Mail Room, General stores.

Essential Criteria

  • Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence
  • Must have a good understanding of English for safety reasons.
  • Punctual, reliable and a selfmotivated attitude

Desirable Criteria

  • MS Office tools, including MS Excel
  • Industry knowledge
  • Experience of using AS400 system
  • FLT Licence
