Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant / Junior Buyer to join a forward thinking, expanding company within the energy sector, with state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive management network, this is a really great time to join.


Responsibilities:


  • Work with the Senior Buyer to ensure all KPI's are achieved within the required timescales
  • Manage & maintain all key data requirements for vendor and product listings
  • Assist with the sourcing of raw materials & finished goods through new & existing suppliers
  • Undertake research on and evaluate existing and new suppliers
  • Assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers
  • Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues
  • Track commodity pricing, market trends & competitor strategies
  • Assess and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities
  • Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships
  • Monitor forecasts to identify changes and to determine their effect on supply chain activities
  • Liaising with all internal stakeholders, building and maintaining key relationships
  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communications.

Beneficial Requirements:


  • Experience in procurement
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Contract management and supplier experience
  • Knowledge of the heating and renewable energy markets an advantage
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skill
