A leading manufacturer of Oil & Gas equipment specialising in hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical control systems, are looking to hire an experienced
Electrical Design Engineer on a full time, permanent basis.
As an
Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for technical aspects of designated projects, completing projects on time, to specification and within budget - ensuring satisfaction for electrical services and equipment suppliedto the customer.
- Design LV Switchgear, PLC Control Systems, Control Panels, & Installations
- Prepare technical proposals, cost & labour estimates
- Assist with creating technical standards
- Develop design and maintenance concepts
- Ensure electrical technical specifications are interpreted and implemented correctly
- Generate electrical BOM's and procure electrical components, materials, enclosures, and services
- Ensure technical design information is made available to the CAD Office
- Prepare intrinsically safe loop calculations and hazardous area schedules
- Verify cable calculations & schedules for site installations
- Carry out technical evaluation of electrical elements of allocated projects
- Assist Project Engineers with Factory Acceptance Test procedures
- Manage electrical project activities
- Oversee equipment design to ensure cost efficiency and compliance
- Oversee electrical assembly of equipment.
- Ensure changes in design scope are identified
- Qualification or degree in Electrical Engineering
- CompEx Application Design Engineer Ex12 certificate
- BS th Edition Wiring Regs)
- Knowledge of engineering standards such as BS 7671 (or IEC 60364), IEC series), & IEC 6143
- Experience in a similar Electrical Design position, ideally from an Oil & Gas engineering environment
- Experience in the design of electrical topside equipment.
- AutoCAD Electrical experience.
