SITE ASSISTANT
St Wilfrid's Catholic High School & Sixth-Form College


Salary:
Grade 4 SCP 5-6

(£23,500 - £23,893)

Permanent full time contract

37 hours per week - working hours are 1pm till 9pm Monday - Thursday. 1.30pm - 9am Friday

This is an opportunity to join us in making a significant difference to the students at St Wilfrid's.


Under the direction/instruction of appropriate senior staff, assist in the provision of maintenance and security services on school premises and sites thereby ensuring a safe and pleasant working environment for student and staff.


  • Operate and respond to alarm systems where appropriate
  • Undertake/ assist with minor repairs e.g. plumbing, lighting & drainage
  • Operate heating plant, cooling and lighting systems
  • Collect and assemble waste for collection
  • Carry out emergency maintenance work as required


St Wilfrid's Catholic High School & Sixth-Form College is a mixed voluntary Academy for 11-18 year olds, based in North Featherstone in West Yorkshire.

There are currently 1,538 students in attendance. The school opened in 1963 and has a proud history.

We were judged as Good by Ofsted in November 2021; we were also judged as Good by the Diocesan Section 48 Inspection in April 2017.


We are proudly part of the Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust which comprises of three Secondary Schools and twelve Primary Schools.
