About us
In the heart of Preston, first opened in 1964, St Georges is long established as the main shopping centre in the city centre.
As a Security Officer you will be responsible for the safety and security of the shopping centre, its tenants, and customers.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Engaging with members of the public, contractors, and retailers, answering queries, and helping as required, supporting retailers with theft prevention.
- Patrolling the shopping centre including the surrounding area, ensuring a safe environment for all who work in and visit the Centre, so you must be comfortable with walking long distances.
- Proactively engaging with members of the public, answering queries, and helping as required.
- Liaising with Store Managers, contractors, and stakeholders
- Carrying out any other reasonable management requests
As a Security Officer you will need:
- Valid SIA Licence
- you MUST have this to be considered.
- First Aid certification
- you MUST have this to be considered.
- A valid CCTV Licence is desirable.
- You must be flexible, working 5 days out of
- Highly motivated.
- Excellent customer service / interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable with walking for long periods.

Hourly rate is £10.76 with double time paid on bank holidays.Job Types:
