In this role you will

  • Responsible for ensuring that all applicable health, safety and environmental standards and regulations are met, and all project staff and contractors are properly inducted in respect of site rules and construction regulations to ensure compliance. Including ongoing safety awareness training for all Project employees.
  • Responsible for the development, management, and approval of major capital investment proposals in line with the project management framework.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all projects comply with current GSK engineering standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring all aspects of project planning and execution comply with current GSK standards as set out in the Finance manual.
  • Responsible for agreeing with customers appropriate measures so that performance against agreed project parameters can be measured and reported at site Capital review council [CRC]
  • Has responsibility for updating and maintaining the site facilities investment plan [FIP] and strategic investment plan [SIP]

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • The job holder should be a Chartered Engineer or have equivalent experience with Membership of a relevant Institution. Qualified to degree level in an appropriate engineering discipline (preferably Chemical or Mechanical) with demonstrable relevant technical experience.
  • Process plant and utility operations. Facility standards and regulatory requirements. Technology and engineering requirements.
  • Project management and project delivery.
Preferred

Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Green Belt.
  • Experience running major capital projects.
