Support Workers - Nights Required

An exciting job opportunity as a Night Support Worker, for a young man with an acquired brain injury in the Nelson area.
Brief Job Description

  • To provide care for a young man with an acquired brain injury who has communication difficulties.
  • Personal care is required.
  • To build a relationship with the client and help him with all essential care needs
  • To administer medication
  • To assist the current support team to maintain a structured routine and carry out activities of daily living.
  • There is scope for progression in the role, training will be provided to help you progress asap to a higher hourly rate.
Hours of Work - Full weekday and weekend nights. Hours be discussed in detail at interview. We are also looking for bank staff.


Person Specification

Car driver with a valid licence and full clean record is essential
:


  • Previous experience working with people with epilepsy is desirable.
  • Previous experience of administering medication is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with adults with an acquired brain injury would be welcomed, but it is not a requirement, as training and regular supervision will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently and under supervision
  • Able to be calm and consistent
  • Enthusiastic and creative
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience of working with adults is desirable, but not a requirement.

Hourly rate
- £13 p/h weekdays and £14 p/h weekends during training period
- £16 p/h weekdays and £17 p/h weekends after training competencies period is passed


Pay:
£13.00-£14.00 per hour

  • Night shift
