This is an exciting role for someone who embraces technology, likes to troubleshoot and is creative in their technical solutions.


The Procure-To-Pay Technical Lead role will work closely with the Head of eEnablement and the rest of the team to support Procure-to-Pay projects, developing and providing system support and expertise.

In addition, the role will support each part of the service which includes eCatalogue Management, Service Improvement, Process Automation, Training, Communication, Service Desk Support and Business Intelligence development and analytics.

This will provide the necessary support to the stakeholders to achieve their purchase-to-pay objectives and business needs.

Agile working in the home & office.


The eEnablement - Procure-to-Pay team are responsible for supporting Procurement Services and Accounts Payable to develop and implement efficiencies throughout the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle across NHS Wales.

We do this by maximising the use of new and existing technology and automating processes.


This service is delivered by 3 distinct functions; 1) Systems (including eCatalogue Management), 2) Service Improvement and Developments (including training and communication), 3) Business Intelligence reporting.

The role is focused towards achieving these objectives through the:

  • Development of the 'Financial Management System' to improve and resolve 'purchase-to-pay' process issues
  • Improvement of the end user experience of purchasing goods and services
  • Strict audit controls over system access
  • Development on the design and functionality of the Business Intelligence reporting tool and analysis of data sets (interrogating the NHS Wales 'Financial Management System')
  • Ability to take initiative and creatively problem solve technical issues
Implement policies and procedures and drive change impacting cross-functional working groups.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
