Are you a visionary Fundraising and Development leader with a track-record of successfully generating income and leading brilliant teams? In this brand-new Head of Development role, you'll enable Wales's national performing arts centre todevelop its programme and spaces during a time of exciting, significant redevelopment.

  • Salary: £42k£50k, able to appoint across the band_
  • Hybrid working, from home and the phenomenal Cardiff centre_
  • Full time, or 4 days per week _

Wales Millennium Centre (WMC) is a magnificent 7.5 acre site on Cardiff's regenerated waterfront.

Through homegrown productions, learning hubs, theatre, cabaret and engagement with young people, WMC celebrates and champions Welsh language, artists and bilingualperformances to fire the imagination for all.


About the role:


As a talented and versatile Fundraising and Development manager, you'll work with the Director on strategy and operationally lead the fundraising team, delivering income from membership, trusts and foundations, public grant sources, individuals and corporates.

Here's a brief run-down of things you can expect to do in this role:

  • Manage the Development Team to deliver fundraising income across a range of income stream
  • Represent the Development team at Senior Management meetings and nurture excellent internal and external relationships
  • Guide innovative research and prospecting to identify and cultivate new propositions and channels for revenue generation
  • Lead by example, playing a strategic role in significant relationships, bids and partnerships
  • Budget management, forecasting and financial reporting across Development

  • Accountable problem solver with the ability to work under pressure and identify priorities
  • Demonstrable ability to create, build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
  • Confident representing the organisation/team in both external and internal meetings
