Pricing Model and Rating Process Actuary

City of London

The jobholder will be responsible for developing and evolving the companies rating tools and processes across all of the companies lines of business and territories

These will:

Provide a technical rate based on a combination of exposure and experience rating.
Where valuable, systematically capture exposure and claim information from the submission, web and/or commercial providers.
Determine rating strength and/or rate change.
Integrate with and seek to optimise the underwriting process.
Maximise the efficiency of process with other exposure tools (such as Sequel Impact, AIR, etc )
Exchange information with the Underwriting system.

Build new and evolve existing Rating Models and Tools and processes using the companies rating platform (this is an advanced Python and Java based rating tool developed by hX).

Work with underwriters, Group Chief and Pricing Actuaries to develop new and evolve existing rating methodologies.
Train underwriters to use tools.
Identify emerging opportunities, including but not limited to; tools and methodologies (actuarial, data science, engineering, statistical etc ) and information. Develop influence with decision makers.
