Join our team at Everest International Insurance as a the Head of our new US wholesale Property team.

In this pivotal role, you'll lead the development and implementation of our underwriting strategy, driving the performance of our US portfolio while supporting the broader objectives of our UK&I Property division.


Your responsibilities will span a wide range of crucial tasks, from overseeing the strategic direction and financial performance of our US portfolio to building and leading a team of underwriters dedicated to the US Property market.

You'll play a key role in expanding our US business in alignment with Everest's objectives and underwriting guidelines, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.


As a core member of our UK&I Property leadership team, you'll contribute to shaping the future trajectory of our US portfolio while fostering relationships with key brokers and clients.

Your expertise in underwriting and pricing US Property risks will be instrumental in guiding our team's decision-making process and optimizing our bottom-line underwriting profit.

Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with senior members of our International Property community to refine and execute our underwriting strategy, while providing strategic direction for the enhancement of divisional pricing and systems.

Effective management of your team, seamless interaction with internal stakeholders, and proactive communication with management will be essential aspects of this role.


Skills & Competencies:

  • Extensive US Property Underwriting experience in the Wholesale/Syndicate market.
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships both internally and externally.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing profitable portfolios.
  • Maintain and develops market knowledge including competitor profiles and products.
  • Ability to adapt and embrace change, with a solutiondriven mindset
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, with the ability to provide concise executive summaries to senior management.
  • Ability to determine opportunities and threats through comprehensive analysis of current and future trends. Comprehends the big picture.
  • Ability to use logic rationality and objectivity in decision making.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with all internal and external management and regulatory controls.
