Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and underwrite professional indemnity insurance proposals for Surveyors, considering the specific risks associated with the profession.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, including analysis of professional qualifications, experience, previous claims history, and the financial health of prospective clients.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Surveying industry, staying abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and potential risks.
- Set premium rates and determine the terms and conditions of policies in line with company guidelines and risk appetite.
- Work closely with brokers and clients to negotiate terms, provide risk management advice, and tailor insurance solutions to meet specific client needs.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of underwritten risks, policy terms, and client interactions.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance underwriting expertise and industry knowledge.
Qualifications
- Professional qualifications such as Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience in professional indemnity underwriting, with detailed knowledge of the Surveying industry and an understanding of the legal and regulatory environment affecting professional indemnity insurance.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess risk accurately.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, brokers, and stakeholders.
- Proficient in underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

£50,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
