Robertson Bell are delighted to be working with a local government organisation to recruit a Year-End Accountant on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to be extended.

The key duties of this Year-End Accountant role are as follows:

Assisting with the preparation and production of the financial statements for the organisation's year-end
Liaising with auditors and producing schedules and notes
Preparing various ad hoc tax returns
Consolidating the accounts produced by other departments and working closely with the Head of Finance to produce final draft statutory accounts
Experienced in preparing financial statements, ideally from within the public sector
Have strong systems skills including the ability to use Excel at an intermediate level
Brilliant communication and interpersonal skills and experience in liaising with auditors
