Reed Accountancy and Finance are proud to be working exclusively with a local public sector organisation who are looking for a passionate, proactive and self-motivated fully qualified Senior Finance professional to step into their
Regional Head of Finance role. The position is full time, permanent offering a salary in the region of £60,000 depending upon experience. As well as offering a wealth of public sector benefits.


Regional Head of Finance duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for providing high-quality financial management
  • Lead on the development of budgets and financial plans
  • Meet regularly with senior leadership to discuss financial strategy, monthly management accounts and forecasts
  • Management of financial procedures and compliance
  • Up to date knowledge of applicable accounting standards and legislation
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Manage the provision of yearend statutory accounts
  • Work with the Financial Controller and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Line management of four members of a finance team

Experience sought:


  • Fully qualified
  • ACCA / CIMA / ACA / CIPFA etc.
  • Experience in a Senior Finance role
  • Experience in financial management and compliance
  • Line managerial experience
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Liaising with auditors
  • Public sector or nonprofit experience desirable
  • Full UK clean driving license
