Market Abuse Surveillance Team Lead

We are seeking a Market Abuse Surveillance Team Lead to join our team of senior experts.
Reporting to the Global Head of Surveillance, you will be responsible for conducting surveillance analysis at an expert level and overseeing the teams work.
You will work closely with the team to analyse surveillance data to identify market abuse risks and materialisation within commodity markets (physical and paper).
You will also be responsible for ensuring that the team meets regulatory requirements and maintains a high level of quality and accuracy in their work.
In addition to your surveillance analysis duties, you will also work closely with the Global Head of Surveillance to contribute to the design, development, implementation, and execution of the surveillance program.
You will be responsible for ensuring that data quality, calibration, metrics, quality assurance, alert analysis, procedures, and other components of the operating model are met.
Key Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in trade and/or communications surveillance
- Strong experience in reviewing alerts and conducting riskbased, eventdriven surveillance
- Indepth understanding of surveillance data requirements and interplays
- Confidence when interacting with traders, and an ability to build and nurture constructive working relationships with business partners and internal/external stakeholders
- Knowledge of the regulatory drivers for surveillance, such as MAR, REMIT, MiFID, etc.

As the Market Abuse Surveillance Team Lead, you should possess:
- Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and leading teams
- Ability to motivate and inspire team members, while maintaining high levels of engagement and performance
- Independent and flexible work attitude and the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong problemsolving mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
