Be integral to a patient's care. 95% of patients visit a imaging department during their diagnosis or treatment.
The post involves primarily assisting the imaging staff with a diverse range of diagnostic and interventional procedures at St Mary's.
You would be involved in the care of both inpatients & outpatients and assist radiographers and patients during their examinations and also help with some administrative tasks.
The successful applicant will also rotate to other areas to offer backup for other members of the modality assistant team and participate in a rota/shift system which covers some evening lists.
The role may extend to include working nights.
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated staff who enjoy the challenges a major trauma centre will offer within a friendly multidisciplinary team in a central London location.
You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to cope with a very wide range of patients from Paediatrics, Care of the elderly and Trauma.
- To assist and support the professional staff within the Imaging Directorate maintaining a high standard of patient care by carrying out assigned tasks.
- Provide an efficient and reliable system for throughput of patients ensuring the activity and needs of the unit are achieved.
- Assist with clerical needs of the unit.
