Job Description:


PURPOSE


The Specialist - IM Environment Management is a key member of the Marketing IM development team, working across the entire platform to support our team of developers, testers, BA's to streamline our test processes and procedures.

The role involves scheduling and managing non-production environments working with external data solutions and our internal non-production Azure infrastructure


The role holder will be expected to work with our BA's, Testers and Developers to develop a process and procedure for managing our non-production environments and then support them to achieve targeted deadlines.


KEY TASKS

Performance & Delivery

  • Responsible for all Marketing IM nonproduction environments for Core, ASPECT and other services as they are brought online within Marketing IM.
  • Managing usage of these environments to make better use of cloud resources and ensure stability for our ongoing projects
  • Work with the development and DevOps teams to plan future enhancements to environment configuration
  • Work with the support team to identify, plan and execute service improvements to those systems that are developed.
  • Understand the business processes and flows to enable the development of solutions.
  • Work with project and support teams to manage service introduction and deployment.

People & Teams

  • Responsible for working closely with project teams
  • Provide technical support and guidance to develop the team and their capability
  • Support the team to operate in accordance with Anglo American and Marketing IM operational processes, standards, frameworks and quality controls as required.
  • Managing team tasks, workflow and mentoring.
  • Support the professional development of permanent team members to enable individual growth and progression and to continuously improve internal developer capabilities.

Qualifications:


Role-specific knowledge:


  • Proficiency in English.
  • Essential: Microsoft Azure Experience
  • Essential: Support Capability
  • Strongly Preferred: SAP Knowledge

Development and Technology:


  • Essential: Azure Native Technologies
  • Essential: Infrastructure as code
  • Essential: Configuration Management
  • Essential: Relational database experience (SQL)
  • Experience working In Agile development teams
