Do you have the ambition and drive to join the team in taking Haringey Youth Justice Service forward, providing effective clinical interventions that produce positive outcomes for young people, families and communities.

We are seeking a qualified CAMHS Clinician to join our multidisciplinary Team

A recognized clinical qualification i.e.
Diploma, degree or master's in social work with current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a registered social worker, or relevant professional qualification in, Probation, Teaching or Youth workand relevant experience working with vulnerable adolescents, children and their families

  • The post holder reports to the Team Manager in both CAMHS an the Youth Justice Service
  • Work directly with children across the Youth Justice Service from pre court, post and in a community of custodial setting
  • Assume clinical responsibility for own case list and case management of children, adolescents and families.
  • To provide specialist assessments of clients referred to the team.
  • Make a clinical formulation from a standard CAMHS assessment, including risk assessment, on which to recommend a treatment intervention offer.
  • To work autonomously and participate in the delivery and development of patient centred, evidence-based care as appropriate.
  • To evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models
  • Assess safeguarding issues and refer concerns to Child Protection teams.
  • Deliver interventions for children and young people who have self-harmed/are in crisis or presenting with other mental health concerns; the treatment interventions provided would be based on NICE guidelines and evidence-based practice.
