Description

North West Air Ambulance Charity are looking for individuals who would like to join our community action team and help support fundraising activities for our lifesaving service in your local area The role is flexible based on how large an area you would like to cover.

We are primarily looking for volunteers who are happy to cover one of the following areas: Millom, Barrow-in-Furness, or Kirkby Stephen although other areas may be considered.

We are also looking for a presentation speaker volunteer specifically around the Kendal area.

What you'll get up to
This role is flexible and varied, you could partake in a number of activities from the below.

We can accommodate what you choose to get involved in based on your personal preference:

Collect and bank funds raised in the community by local supporters
Collected and bank funds raised in the community through static tins based in businesses across Cumbria
Deliver presentations to community groups on behalf of NWAA, raising awareness of our lifesaving service
Promote our fundraising campaigns in your local areas
Attending events in your local and surrounding areas
Attending cheque presentations on behalf of NWAA
Research and administration

What we need from you
A friendly, engaging attitude and excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with local supporters. Basic numeracy and literacy skills as well as a knowledge of your local area would be advantageous.

Training, support and an induction will be provided.
