Salary = £23,000k per annum - 10 week FTC starting 20th February 2023

Hours = 36 per week, Monday to Friday

Do you have data entry experience with knowledge of engineering ideally looking to be part of a successful, niche, but industry leading organisation?


Based in Manchester we are currently recruiting for a data entry operator to join our developing software team on a fixed term basis for a 10 week project.

The role of data entry operator will be creating a component for a rail training simulator project.

The data entry operator will be responsible for creating a bespoke digital training panel for a specific location using custom EDM developed software that is already in place.


From you

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interpret rail signal data and input into EDM simulation software.
  • Utilise EDMs rail simulation software.
  • Maintain all files in good order and ensure the data is securely backed up along with all associated documentation.

Key Requirements

  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with windows PCs.
  • A willingness to adapt to diverse technologies and develop new skills as required.
  • A-Level computing or equivalent would be desirable.
  • An appreciation of general engineering principles and practices would be an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge/exposure of reading mechanical / electrical drawings would be advantageous.
  • An understanding of rail signalling principles would be desirable.
