Our new Connect & Support service is currently looking for a co-ordinator to ensure this new service operates efficiently and effectively.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract basis for 9 months.
In this unique and varied role, we are looking for a strong communicator who can manage and provide guidance to volunteers, manage beneficiaries of the Silver Line Helpline who require extra support, use data to make assessments on how we can improve the service for beneficiaries who are regular users of our National Services.
This position will involve working with data and Microsoft Excel, so you would need to be comfortable in a technical position.
Must haves:
- Proven experience of working with vulnerable older people with complex needs.
- Experience of delivering services remotely.
- Experience in delivering training or coaching.
- Experience of providing support to other staff or volunteers.
- Experience working with teams and colleagues remotely and across multiple locations.
- Experience working with and maintaining a digital database, with data entry to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident dealing with people from different levels and situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a sensitive and empathetic approach.
- Effective communication skills and ability to deliver difficult messages sensitively.
- Experience of dealing with safeguarding issues.
- Experience of managing complaints.
- Experience of working towards and delivering KPIs.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships remotely.
- Ability to prioritise competing deadlines and workloads.
- Excellent oral communication skills, including positive telephone manner and excellent customer service skills.
- Proven ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection issues.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to analyse data
- Awareness of mental health issues.
- Commitment to promoting equality and valuing diversity in practice.
